Heritage Plus Joint Call

The second JPI CH Joint Call was part of the Heritage Plus Project implementation and was launched on March, the 4th 2014. This Call was slightly more complex than the previous ones as including two steps of evaluation, pre-proposal phase closed in July 2014, and full-proposals phase closed in February 2015. Pre-proposals were presented in all their general components, whereas second step full proposals had a detailed content regarding the Description of Work, the management structure and the budget. Only applicants who submitted a pre-proposal and passed the selection were invited to the second stage of the Call. Final selected projects were supposed to start by April 2015.

Applicants have been required to submit innovative proposals developing current issues of cultural heritage, from assessment to protection and management.  The call included three main research topics to be developed:

Safeguarding tangible cultural heritage and its associated intangible expressions
Sustainable strategies for protecting and managing cultural heritage
Use and re-use of all kinds of cultural heritage

After a national eligibility evaluation process and a detailed common scientific evaluation, 16 Projects were selected for funding.
